Knowing the emotion that each color causes, you can create the right packaging for your product. So:
Red: Increases blood circulation and heart rate by creating a sense of hunger. Therefore, it is the ideal color for dining areas (especially fast food) and food packaging.
Yellow: Creates a feeling of joy and care. It is the color that draws attention the most.
Orange: Creates a sense of comfort, enhances mental functioning and pushes for action, e.g. buy.
Blue: It enhances the feeling of confidence and security. It is usually found in packages of dairy products (in combination with white) emphasizing quality and purity.
Green: It is the first color that comes to mind when areas such as health, environment and sustainability are mentioned. It is the most “digestible” color as it is the color that makes the eyes easier to process.
Pink: The most ‘romantic’ color. It emits a sense of security and emotional security. Women and beauty products uses this color.
Black: Dynamic color that gives the feeling of luxury. It is used in products and brands that want to emphasize their luxury character.
